Two very different Renault families
Renault's current range splits into two distinct groups, and knowing which one your car belongs to matters for green flash eligibility. The retro-styled Twingo, Renault 5 and Renault 4 are electric-only, while the conventionally styled Clio, Captur, Arkana, Symbioz, Austral and Rafale are petrol or hybrid only in the UK.

Megane and Scenic: same name, different era
This is where it gets confusing. The current-generation Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech are fully electric, so they qualify for a green flash plate. Older petrol or diesel Meganes and Scenics, which share the same model name, don't qualify. If you're not sure which generation yours is, check your V5C rather than relying on the badge alone. Renault has used both names for well over a decade across several very different generations, so a Megane bought five or six years ago is almost certainly not the electric version, even if the car still looks modern.
What about the Zoe?
The Zoe was Renault's earlier electric hatchback and is now discontinued, but it was fully electric throughout its production run, so it still qualifies for a green flash plate if you own one. It sits outside the two families above as Renault's first mainstream EV, before the retro-styled Twingo, 5 and 4 took over that role.
