1. Do you need to show ID to buy a number plate?
Yes, if you’re buying a plate that’s going on your vehicle, you’ll need to show proof of identity and proof of ownership. That’s a DVLA requirement. We’ll guide you through it when you order, it’s easy and takes a couple of minutes.
2. Can you get a number plate made without documents?
Not for road use. We do offer show plates which are for off-road or display only. Those don’t need docs. But anything road legal needs proof, no way around that.
3. Can I use different fonts on my number plate?
Not if you want to stay legal. DVLA only allows the standard UK font. No italics, no curly letters, nothing fancy. We know some of the fonts look cool, but they’re not for the road.
4. Are gel plates waterproof?
Yes. All our gel plates are weatherproof and made to last. Rain, frost, and even car washes won’t harm them. They’re made to take a proper beating on UK roads.
5. Can I clean my number plate with anything?
Avoid harsh stuff like strong chemicals or abrasive pads. Warm water, soap and a soft cloth is all you need. That’ll keep your gel or 4D letters looking sharp.
6. Do number plates fade over time?
Cheap ones do. Ours don’t. We use high-quality materials that hold up for years. We've had customers come back after 4 or 5 years saying their plates still look brand new.
7. How long does it take to get a number plate?
If you order before our cut-off time, we dispatch the same day. Most customers get theirs within 1 to 2 working days, depending on delivery.
8. Can I track my order?
Yes, as soon as your plate leaves us, we send you a tracking link. If you ever need help, just drop us a message and we’ll check it for you.
9. Can I return a number plate?
Because each plate is custom made, we can’t accept returns unless there’s a fault. But if there’s an issue, we always work something out. Just speak to us.
10. What if I make a mistake while ordering?
It happens. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. If we haven’t made it yet, we’ll fix it. If it’s already made, we’ll do our best to help you out without charging again.
