Are Custom Number Plates Really Worth It?
We get this question a lot. People want to know if personalised plates are worth the money or just a bit of fun. So here’s the honest answer.
It depends what you want from it
Some folks just want something that stands out. Others see it as a gift, or a way to hide the age of the car. And then there’s people who buy them as an investment. There’s no one reason.
It’s not always about the money
We’ve seen customers get plates that match their initials or their dog’s name. Sometimes it’s just for a laugh. But then we’ve also seen some customers spend a few grand on a plate that they later sell for more.

Do they hold value?
Some do. Short plates, or ones with fewer letters or numbers, tend to hold value better. Anything with common names or initials is also more likely to keep or grow in value.
If your plate is something really specific though, it might only be worth something to someone just like you. So it's not always a guarantee.
What if I just want it to look better?
Fair enough. Lots of people choose custom plates because it cleans up the front and back of their car. Even just swapping a plate with a lot of 1s and 0s for one with real letters can change the whole look.
And pairing it with a 3D or 4D plate style? That really sets it off.
